watching movies, holding back tears

So since I have been home this whole weekend taking care of my mom (she has the flu) I have watched many movies…I am a cryer, but this weekend…the tears have rolled and rolled and rolled….I have watched some classics that I have never seen before and watched some that will always make my cry…here is my poor pitiful movie list….:feel free to bring klenex’s..

1. The Holiday (it wouldnt make the average person cry, but I like to)

2. Message in a Bottle (ok I have never seen this one until today…talk about turn arounds and surprizes and TEARS)

3. Facing the Giants (this is a Christian based movie dad had me watch, it is a true story based out of GA…Mark Richt makes a debut..the acting is terrible the story it good, if you can get thru the terrible southern wife…then the story is good…and you will cry)

4. Driving Miss Daisy (I have also never seen this one…that is probably a sin since I am from GA and it is filmed in GA…but you all know how I love mamaw’s and papaw’s and that last seen is enough for me to cry to death…wow)

5. Simon Birch (Kendra had this DVD and I had heard her talk about it, but I had never seen it..one day while she was out of town, I finally watched it, and needless to say I had to call her bawling (spelling) my eyes out asking her "why did you ever tell me to watch this movie…I cant breathe"…well I watched it again…def. a movie worth watching and crying too…bc if you dont cry…you dont have a heart…watch this movie at least once)

ok I think that is all I can take for right now….I am now switching to funny, teeny bopper movies, where the worst that may happen is someone not getting the cutest prom date…that is about all I can handle I think for now….

guess who won

or it wasnt the job…only this could happen to me!

Filed under: random's, Jobs and such!
emoticonOK well here is a story for you….So I want to say thank you for all emailing me with congrats and good lucks!!!! BUT
so I went to work on Tue day and it was great, I was already being thrown into the job and learning stuff and then around lunch time the roof of my mouth is itching so bad…this means that I know I am allergic to something… I was thinking that it had something to do with my trainer smoking…(since I am allergic to smoke) but I wasn’t around his smoke only his smell, so I didn’t think that was it.
so anyways after the end of the day I went home and started to feel terrible. My throat was hurting and felt like it was closing up. My mouth was itching, my eyes watering, I was coughing alot and I just felt bad. So that night I was talking Allegra D and cough drops and all the good stuff to make you better. well it didn’t work, I didn’t sleep at all that night.
I went into work on Wed. and I looked up above my work station and there it was…I was surrounded by 6 -8 air ducts that looked like they have NEVER been cleaned. So I went to my boss and politely asked her if they ever get cleaned or if they could get cleaned bc I was miserable after I left work. She told me she would look into it….(note she has no personality)
So later that day she came to me and asked me if I were taking any med’s for my allergies. I told her yes but that I was due to see my Dr. She pretty much told me that I needed to see what he said by the end of the week bc if my allergies were not going to get better then they didn’t want to waste $ and time on training me…and that she could not guarantee that the working environment would ever be better…. sounds harsh right?
So I worked the rest of the day on Wed. went home and same story…still sick. I made an appointment to see my Dr on Thurs. morning. I went and pretty much YES I am allergic to my work place. my Dr put me on 5 different meds that cost an arm and a leg. I talked to him to even see if all this would make me 100% better and he said no if they dont change the work environment.
So guess what, I talked to my boss on Thursday after my Dr appointment and told her what my Dr had said, and she told me, this is a printing mill, it will always be dusty…we have no control over that….so I had to tell her, even with me being on this medication if the area isn’t cleaner and you cant guarantee me that it will be any cleaner, then I will not be physically able to work under these circumstances.
So guess what I am ALLERGIC to my job, so now I am starting all over again. Yes this stinks, but I had to do what was best for me, and after only being there 2 days working and having the worst attach that I have had since I cant remember when….was not worth it to me.
So please keep me in your prayers again as I keep looking for a healthy job place…
Thanks, Gilly

Georgia Dreamin’

well if any of you know anything about me… then you know I have crazy dreams…well then listen to this….

so this morning I woke up remembering that I dreamed about Dahlonega’s Gold Rush and many of my friends were there and we were going to our same mexican restaurant that we always go to, except the one in my dream had an outdoor part that over looked the ocean ( and we all know there isnt an ocean in dahlonega), anyways many of my friends were sitting at the table and we were talking about who all was coming to Gold Rush, I remember Keener, Emily and Katie Green all being there and I think with crimpted hair.. ha ha…but here is the good part.

I dreamed that NGCSU had a football team and after lunch we were all going to the drill field to watch the game. I was holding a baby girl about 4 months old and in my dream I learned that is was my cousin Sasha’s cute baby. This baby had a huge smile and big dimples (she was related to me…) and that Sasha’s dad was on the sidelines to the football game…

ok so here is the crazy part…(in real life no longer a dream), I called my mamaw’s house earlier today to talk and my Aunt Pat answers the phone (She is Sasha’s mom) and I was talking to her and then I remembered my dream and I told her about dreaming about Sasha having a baby and it was a girl and we were on the side lines of a football game…well she made an "awww" kind of sound bc she told me that Sasha’s sister *Chelsea* had also dreamed that Sasha had a baby girl except in her dream the baby was about 2 years old…

ok so today I texted messaged Chelsea to tell her about what her mom had told me…and then later on tonight she texted me again saying, "Omg!!! Mom just told me your dream was at a football game….Mine was too!!!!"

and when I called Chelsea she told me that her dad was also on the sidelines in her dream too!!!

here is Sasha on the left and Chelsea on the right to give you a good mental pic of my family!

How CRAZY it that….well Sasha is isnt pregnant…to our knowledge or her’s….we will see if our predictions are correct…

“the job” or “not to be the job” that is the question!

Filed under: random's, Jobs and such!

well I just wanted you all to know that I went to my interview and sadly the lady took a whole 8 minutes out of her day to "get to know me" I think I am worth more about at least 20 minutes…in 8 minutes you dont get over the scary and nervous part…but I told her how I loved computers and printing and bla bla bla, but that I have not worked with it for about 5 years, so we will see. Thanks for your prayers, she told me they were also interviewing this week and next, so we will see….Thansk again for everything, Gilly

Thanks and wish me luck

Filed under: random's, Jobs and such!

First of all I want to thank all my readers for their kind words of encouragement and prayers. I have truly been blessed with having you all in my lives in some form or fashion. Thanks…it feels so good to know that I have so many fabulous people on my side.

So PLEASE wish me luck bc yesterday after talking to an old friend about how I hate my life and how I am so ready for a good job after applying for literally 16 different jobs located all over the places, I got back into my car and I had a message. A message saying they want me to come in for an interview. This is a company here in Dalton, actually the first company to get my resume, but they are a printing company where I would actually be using my major (art marketing). Luckily my dad knows the whole company and he works on their machines, so that was my networking..Thanks DAD.

so I have my interview today at 2 pm..Please continue to pray for me and Thanks again for all you have been doing so far..oh and dont worry, I have been praying for all of you as well, I am not a prayer hog!
